KY Colonels 18 & 16u Roster?

Featured Replies

Colonels 16U head: Foster McElfresh

Asst coach's: Joe Price, former MLB pitcher

Scott Buckler, and Bill Horvath

Viewed the 16u roster on another thread. Wow 20 players. will there be enough playing time, especially for 3 catchers. Did they keep players just as pitchers only.

My guess is that the U-16 team will be coached pretty much the same way that the U-18 team is and that is Walt really doesn't care about winning or losing most games. It's all about trying to get each kid on the team exposer to the scouts be they Pro or College who are watching the games. The starting nine rarely ever sees the end of the game no matter what the score. It is all about getting all the players playing time. Yes some parents will be upset because their little johnny isn't getting to play ever inning of every game, but it is the way Walt coaches and it has worked. BTW the 20 number sometimes get a little thin with vacation, injuries/sickness, college visits, ACT test, etc, etc.

Sorry, but I posted the U-16 and U-18 rosters of the Kentucky Colonels on the Kentucky Colonels thread.
