Post 76 plays a very competitive schedule every year! When kids play at this level they should already know the game, this should be used to hone their skills and to be seen by any other teams or colleges. This is not IMO a baby sitting thing, but most kids improve somewhat just by playing better competition and being with older kids who want to play at another level! In fall ball kids play BECAUSE they LOVE the GAME and not any other reason!

 

I am a fan of Post 76, and played there 3 seasons as a player. I guess I am just not a fan of the current GM. I wish nothing but the best for the future of Post 76, hopefully with a baseball guy at the top.

Anybody know of some teams still looking for games. The Louisville Baseball Club made up of 17yo out of Louisville and surrounding areas is looking to pick up DH through Oct. This team is loaded with D1 talent and looking to play against the same.

If you are interested in your kid getting good instruction and improving his game, I would look elsewhere. If you are looking for a place to play, then maybe Post 76 would be ok.

When you talk about the lack of instruction and the improving of ones game, you are talking about more than just the GM. I've been a part of Post 76 fall ball for the last four years, and yet have I seen a player complain about the GM. While most fall teams are playing at the park or local High School fields, Post 76 baseball is usually on the road. Traveling to places such as: U.K., Georgetown College, West Virginia Tech, Columbus, Clipper's Stadium (Ron Golden's Academy), Pikeville College (Pikeville Bombers). Not bad for fall. My son now plays at The University of The Cumberlands, and a lot of that is because of the help he recieved from that GM. Putting together a very nice brocheur and sending it to every college he was interested in. Just because you have a problem with the GM, don't make the rest of the situation look useless. And by the way, we have a couple of open dates, give us a call.:thumb:

With all of that traveling it is hard for me to believe you have open dates. Maybe Post 76 could give UK a call and have a scrimmage on their field instead of running teams off to scrimmage at AK Park. Actually I have no problem with Post 76, as I have said before I think it is good exposure. I just happen to have a negative opinion of the guy in charge, not the organization as a whole. Congratulations on your son playing at the next level, that is an excellent school.
