Former Reds Nickname Trivia

Featured Replies

Can you name the former Reds players known by these nicknames:

1) Little General

2) Hawk

3) Blade

4) Cobra

5) Animal

6) Herky Jerky

7) Dracula

8) Spuds

9) Destroyer

10) Big Bopper

These are a bit obscure, but they were indeed on the Reds' roster for very brief periods:

1) Sweet Music (90's)

2) Phantom (70's)

I am working with guru to secure a prize of $1M to the person that gets them all correct. As of right now it does not look favorable.

#1 - not his most well-known nickname, but a nickname nonetheless.

#6 - pitcher in late 50's/early 60's.

#7 - pitcher in 70's. (aka: Boom Boom)

So #1 was not Morgan?

How about "E6?"

No. You must have edited your original post right after I had replied.

I believe there was actually a book about #1 with that nickname in the title.

#7 - Pedro Borbon (from the famous biting incident)?

For the record, can't say I recall #9 being called this. Was told this by a friend during a Reds' trivia debate. When I looked it up online, sure enough there it was. OF'er in 70's.
