^So you're not going to see the new Batman movie, because Heath Ledger is in it?? Nevermind the fact that the first one was awesome, and that Christian Bale is an amazing actor...That makes no sense man.

I agree, the first one was awesome and Bale is a great actor.

statmanhensley, I agree with ya on Talladega Nights, it wasen't to good but I thought Semi-Pro was hilarious. Will Ferrel has been in quite a few good movies. Imo he's one the funniest guys alive! Big, hairy and, loud!

This thread is going crazy...IMO Talladega Nights was hilarious! Will Ferrell has been in some pretty bad movies lately though (Bewitched, Kicking and Screaming, Semi-Pro: actually don't know never seen, but from what I've heard).

The First Batman with Bale was great, just an all out great movie. I understand those that don't like Batman but to not watch a super hyped action packed movie Solely because of one actor is a little out there IMO, but to each his/her own.

Forget the rest of this years movies, Transformers 2 & Friday the 13th are coming in 2009:dancingpa:dancingpa

I LOVED the first! I could watch it over and over again, never got old. Shia LaBeouf is slowing becoming one of my favorite actors.

I usually watch movies online but there are a few that have been listed that I'll go to the theatre to watch cause of the experience of being there with a big crowd. Those are Step Brothers & Pineapple Express.

As stated above, Will Ferrell has been in some really bad movies, REALLY bad (including Talladega Nights and Semi-Pro) but I will give this one a chance. I've never been a fan of John C. Reilly and think his comedy is less than subpar so I hope this one is going to be better than I've grown acustomed to from this pair.

Also as stated about, Seth Rogen is hilarious. Now he's a comedic genius IMHO and I've not been disappointed in anything of his I've seen. I actually have Superbad in my five favorites of all time. I'll be there at AMC On The Levee when this one comes out.

Now we come to the one that you couldn't pay me enough to go see is Dark Knight....and before I go on, a dang commercial just came on for this movie.....it makes me sick!....this I'll explain in the coming sentences I never have been and never will be a fan of Heath Ledger. Some people have said to me that I should go to see it because of his passing....I say NO I shouldn't have to. He was never any good IMHO when he was alive so why should I go watch something now that he's passed. I do think it was tragic that he passed the way he did but why should we honor his life when there are others that have passed due to the same thing he passed over and you don't see Hollywood building up what they did. Brokeback Mountain was the straw that broke the camel's back for m with him....AND Jake Gyllenhall too.....so I can't support either of them. Sorry if this sounds rude to say about someone who has passed but I'd say it about him if he was standing right in front of me.

I can see someone just not liking his acting. If you don't like a certain actor I can respect that. But to not like him, because he played a gay man in a movie? I'm not sure I get that one.

BTW, I'm not a huge Heath Ledger fan by any means, but it looks like he does an excellent job as The Joker in "The Dark Knight". I'll be there on opening day to watch this one. Batman Begins was awesome...I'm sure this one will be as well.

^ I love all the advertising with this movie...They release posters, then have later released posters as if the Joker defaced them...All the Viral Marketing is great as well. They even gave away a lot of free tickets to the Premiere in IMAX theaters.

That's a positive. Never liked the man and never will. And as far as Christian Bale goes, I'll save judgement until he's in a movie that I want to really go see.

As with anyone, we are entitled to our own opinions but in today's society, we are so PC that we don't want to offend anyone by saying we don't like them because of this or that. I would go further into why I'll never see that movie but this is not the thread to do it in.

I'm pretty pumped about "The Dark Knight" coming out next week.
I've had the date maked on my calendar for months and looking forward to it. Now that's moving day. I have to move that weekend and leave for FBLA camp on Monday. Don't know when I'll get to see it.

I can now say that I've seen one of his films. I watched 3:10 To Yuma and thought it was pretty good. I haven't seen the others because they don't really fit into the types of movies I like to watch.

Rescue Dawn is a movie about POW's. Steve Zahn is in it as well. Very very good movie.
