The orchestrated propaganda campaigns on a wide range of issues are putting this nation at risk and voters need to hold both parties accountable for their deceptions.

Now, back to the thread topic. Does it bother you that Democrats lied about withdrawing troops from Iraq to win a few seats in Congress? Do the ends justify the means?

 

 

If you're against the war and want leaders who will be deliberate in ending it, you're not going to be bothered by campaign pledges to end it, even if those pledges were a bit overly ambitious.

 

Are politicians who say they will end abortion or put an end to wasteful spending also liars?

Bottom line: none of those issues you raise (bolded above) even comes close to the significance of starting a war as costly as Iraq by twisting facts and presenting only the most supportive evidence to the American people to justify it. You can argue that fact (I'm sure you will), but most people think they were misled by the Administration on the war. Argue with that.

Obama is promising to raise taxes.

 

Hillary promises to "take profits" from the oil companies if she is elected and to raise taxes.

 

Maxine Waters says that if oil prices continue to rise that she would "socialize" American oil companies.

 

Senator Charles Schumer claims that if one million barrels of oil production per day (the potential output from ANWR) were added to the global supply, gasoline prices would drop by more than 62 cents per gallon.

 

Congressman Paul Kanjorski says that Democratic candidates were not truthful when they promised quick withdrawl of US troops in Iraq if they were elected.

 

I believe that all of the above are examples of Democratic politicians telling the truth.
