2008 DeSales

What does DeSales need to do to improve in 2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Work hard this off-season is a must. They need 100 percent participation in the strength & conditioning department. Speed and agility is a must, lifting and putting on size is not going to make an athlete. Performing positioning drills and specific movements to replicate real game play. All I heard all year long was they are painfully slow. I have seen it for myself, although I will say as the season progressed it did improve. There is no way a group of kids should not be quicker and faster more early in the season. Speed and quickness can be improved and is not a natural occurrence of some kind. I would say with that they can break into the championship game at Papa Johns Stadium. They have the kids with the heart and ability along with an excellent coaching staff. It was evident this Senior season what they are capable of even after a 0-3 start. I have high hopes for them the next couple years to come in going all the way.

Best of luck this year. Outstanding program - great Coaches -great kIds...they do it right. REally hope they do well. They are due.:thumb::thumb:

I know the Colts will have a solid Junior class this Fall, but can anyone provide info on what contributing Seniors they will have? Coach Sander has put alot of sweat and spirit into rebuilding the program and hopefully he will start reaping the rewards

The colts will be back and hungry to make another run at state next year. They only lost 11 seniors and the team last year relied mainly on underclassmen to carry the load. Ryan Johnson there qb will be returning for his junior year. They will also have a great offensive line led by divison I prospect Justin Powell and a hand full of great running backs to run behind him
