Scott 4 Ryle 4

Funny how these spiking incidents just now occured and with one particular first baseman....the starting first basemen for Scott didn't seem to have a problem the 5 or 6 inings he was playing first base.

Roesel no doubt has to be very happy to see Renda pitch like everyone knew he was capable. He was throwing very hard and threw a lot of strikes, even with an ump who at times seemed to really squeeze the plate for all the pitchers. Ultimately, a couple of Ryle offensive miscues late in the game really came back to haunt.

Way to go Joe! Patience from Coach Roesel finally paid off. He just needed to relax and not worry that every pitch would be his last this season. Confidence breeds success and confidence is what he needs. The pressure to not be able to make a mistake can kill a players confidence and I truthfully believe that is what has held this fine young man back. He is a very talented pitcher and third baseman, unfortunately for him, Etscheid has been tremendous at third and at the plate. But if he stays relaxed, he is definitely capable of helping Ryle finish this season strong. I can't wait to coach this kid this summer.

And since this is the first time Adams has ever been spiked at first base in his career at Scott it is a MAJOR coincidence
