April 21, 200818 yr I thought both QB's especially Pulley got better as the game went on. I think they will be fine when they get more experience. Hartline has very good mechanics, carries out ball fakes very well and throws a nice ball, unfortunatly his receivers could not catch anything. Pulley has raw talent, started very slowly fumbled a couple of snaps then seemed to settle down and let the game come to him.Pulley can pick up 10+ yards at anytime with the run. If these guys work hard all summer with the receivers and get on the same page UK will be better than last year, if they don't they will be up and down all year. You can just like up and run in the SEC.The Cats look to be very deep and solid at all positions except QB & WR. They will determine how far this team goes.
April 21, 200818 yr Right now, I would give the nod to Hartline. Pulley looks too timid and unsure of what he's doing. Not to mention, I feel the offense would be better served with Pulley out wide. -Locke is so quick and shifty, it's unbelievable. -Has Lentz been permanently moved to the defensive secondary? He had a pick in the first half.
April 21, 200818 yr My only real concern right now is the receivers. I think whoever is the QB will be OK.
April 21, 200818 yr My only real concern right now is the receivers. I think whoever is the QB will be OK. In which case, wouldn't it make sense to make Hartline the QB and put Pulley at WR? I'll never understand why Pulley wants to play QB when I truly believe he has the skill set to be an NFL WR. Just my two cents.

April 21, 200818 yr You think Pulley gets every opportunity to win QB spot and if he loses he moves to WR? Possibility? WR's is where they are hurting...Aaron Boyd has a great shot to get major clock... Then again if WR position is hurting, wouldn't a spread with Pulley be the best fit?

April 21, 200818 yr On a bright note I thought the tight ends played very well and caught everything. I agree. TC Drake impressed me and I look forward to seeing him play.
April 21, 200818 yr Dicky had a great game. If we can develop a couple of other WR's (Boyd, Lanxter, or if Ford can get healthy) I look for Dicky to have a big year.
April 21, 200818 yr The Blue team looks loaded on defense... I agree, I thought they would dominate because outside of Warford and Lindley they were stacked on D. Especially at LB!

May 5, 200818 yr North Carolina State had 15,500 today and a BCS school had nearly 50,000 today. SS, it will always be tough for UK football to have good attendance @ the blue/white scrimmage because of Keeneland. As you may already know, individuals in the state of KY has a special place in their heart for horses, thats never going to change. It's stinks but if we ever get over 10,000 people at the Blue/white game, I would be shocked.

Allow people to come in town for Keeneland during the day and then catch some football at night, much like regular season games in October.
