Final. Villa was up 6-3 early but Bellevue cut it to 6-5 thanks to a Jones 2-run home run. Bellevue scored 2 in the bottom of the seventh to win 7-6.

This game was much different from the first time when Bellevue won 10-0. Villa seems to be improving but can't get over the hump and close a game to win.

Amen to the Lightning getting better. Coach Sawyers has them on the right track.

Is the Sawyers that is coaching at Villa the coach who came with Sanders to Bellevue?

Yes. One and the same. He does a real good job. Knows the game and is great with the players, while still demanding things be done the correct way. Also has coached and Conner and Scott in his still young career.
