Rambackstop8, thank you for taking my opinion under advisement and not being critical about it. I am an old man and have seen many a Raceland baseball team but right now they would remind you of the bad news bears. I think the world of all of them but they just havent played together as a team. Some of the younger players have seen maybe one to two Varsity games all last year and it was to run bases primarily. The entire team is just making mistakes.

 

Its going to be my goal to encourage and talk up this team. They feel defeated all ready. They go into a game with there head down. We need to really encourage these boys and let them know we have confidence in our older ones and not forget each younger one that takes the field and let them know we have faith they can rise to the challenge.

You're correct, mistakes have come from everyone, but if you want to encourage them, comparing them to the Bad News Bears isn't the answer. The younger players just need time to adjust to the level of competition they're playing against. Come tournament time they'll be fine. But all of these players need to hear positive comments, and the Bad News Bears isn't one of them.

Wilson piched first 4 innings & Reynolds pitched the last 3 to pick up the win. We still made base running mistakes that cost us some runs. Defense played better. We were down 6-2 going into the top of 7. Offense comes alive with 5 runs. Shawn Reynolds ties game with a 2 out 2 rbi single and Loren Huffman follows with a 2 out rbi single for the go ahead run 7-6. Reynolds pitches a 1-2-3 inning in bottom of 7th for win. Great come back for the Rams. See boys you can win just relax and build off this you all are a talented team. Almost forgot to mention Keetons 2 run home run earlier in the game to give us our first 2 runs.That was a nice shot Dillon.

I apologize fpr the Bad Mews Bears commemnt. It was not meant in a negative light. Its because they had come together not playing with each other and the errors that were being made however in the end we all knew they were a winning team. I aplogize to anyone that took offense to this comment.
