LCPATS.... Don't fool yourself on Jackson not at least thinking about Boyle. I know for a FACT that within the last 2 1/2 years Jackson has asked someone REALLY close to the Boyle program about that job if Coach Bottoms was to leave. I do know that for a fact.

 

Do I think Jackson will leave Lincoln? No. Actually I think they are going to give it to Springate regardless if Jackson wants it or not and I think Coach Jackson knows that.

 

From discussions with several Lincoln people during the district/regional tournaments, they all seem to think Jackson will be gone within the next couple of years (he's got a daughter close to graduating, correct?). No one said Boyle, but most said somewhere.

The only thing about the bolded part above is that I started the thread with a question mark. I was curious if he might be thinking about Boyle. And whether the Danville paper is "D-list" or not, they are usually spot on when it comes to coaching hires.

 

Does the name Guy Morris ring a bell. Or how about when they said a coach like Settles would not come to Lincoln. Or in your case, how soon did they break the Garrard hire? Not to quick.

There's a difference between opinion and fact. Larry usually has opinions (he's a columnist), while the other guys tend to stick more with facts. This was an opinion column, wondering aloud whether Jackson might be interested in Boyle. They may be dead wrong (and so might I), but I'm guessing we haven't heard the last of this.

I've from "around" during the regular season that not only would it not be another 12th Region school, but it might be out of the state altogether.
