Running Shoes?

Featured Replies

Thanks for the advise and the offer. I have pretty much decided I am going to spend $100-$125 for what ever I get.

:thumb:Good idea--it's a wise investment. If my shoes are old, my knees ache, my back hurts, etc. Also, if you get specially fitted at Fleet Feet in Nashville, then you can order online at RoadRunnerSports.com for subsequent pairs. Also, a friend of mine ran the Nashville 1/2 last April. She had gone to FF and was fitted about a month before the race. She trained in them and then ran in them the day of the race. She ended up losing 3 toenails and went back to the store to see how she could prevent it next time. They insisted on re-fitting her and gave her a brand new pair of shoes!

I won't lie and tell you we have a large selection in that size, but we do have a few pair.

My husband wears 16 EEEE and the only running shoes he can get are New Balance and Asics. UKPat, I may come in your store during my kids' spring break in April. I need some new socks! I'll have to see if you can guess who I am!:sssh::lol:

Here's one more suggestion woodsrider--only wear your running shoes when you are running. That might sound dumb, but I see people wear their running shoes out shopping or whatever. You can buy a cheaper pair to play around in, but only wear your good shoes when you are running. I'm a little goofy I guess, but I also have separate pairs for treadmill and road running. Because of my home situation, I have to do the majority of my miles on a treadmill. It's not ideal, but it's better than nothing. Pavement running wears down the treads quicker and makes me have less traction on the machine, so I keep separate pairs and they both last longer. The initial investment is greater, but I think it evens out over time.

We have several pairs of 16 4Es in stock. I work full time, so chances are I'll be in there. The Professor came in a couple months ago wearing his BGP hat and that's how I met him, maybe you could wear a BGP shirt?

For that amount you can get a really nice pair of shoes. Out of curiosity, what size do you wear?
