BufordT Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Who did what for Estill? How'd Tim Freeman's boy do? Tell Coach Wood to check the 1988 team's record. I think we went 24-6, been a long time ago though. Coach Tate said you all were going to set a school record for wins this year hopefully and I think the '88 team has the record now. Good Luck this year and bring some pride to Estill!!!
Neers 44 Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 Freeman pitched, and did a pretty good job throwing strikes.
BufordT Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 But he's a HITTER!!! What about at the plate? Didn't he lead the state in HR's last year? Glad to see Estill getting the good publicity from this good group of kids. I've heard nothing but the best about them as players, and more importantly, as young men and students. Keep us posted on them please. Love the new "E".
Neers 44 Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 He's a very good hitter, I remember two at bats off the top of my head, he had a ground out, and was hit by a pitch. The new E was started by the football team, and it's circulated throughout the athletic program.
WebGems37 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Why was this game even scheduled? Not to be cinical, but who gained from that kind of romp?
BufordT Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Model and Estill are in neighboring counties and have played each other for as long as can be remembered. Sometimes Model has a good team, most of the time not, but it is scheduled every year. Sometimes it's a very good game between two decent teams. This year Estill seems to be loaded. Almost all teams have games like this yearly.
WebGems37 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 Thanks for the explanation BufordT. That helps to make some sense of it.
