Eta Rho Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Northern Kentucky will be well represented at this year's Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches East-West All-Star Game. The East team will be coached by Holmes coach David Henley and former St. Thomas, Highlands and NKU coach Ken Shields. Among those on the East roster are Holy Cross senior Corey Sorrell and Holmes senior Arrez Henderson. Article from: http://news.nky.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20080319/SPT0302/803190405/
Eta Rho Posted March 19, 2008 Author Posted March 19, 2008 When is it & where will it be played? Not sure. It didn't say in the paper.
airjordan23 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 This is a game where a player like Arrez won't look as good because he's a defender, and all star games aren't about defense.
airjordan23 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 No McGraw that's a crock....:irked: I would like to see Mcgraw perform against all stars. His passing maybe even alley oops to Arrez could have been fun to watch.

Arrez averages 17 a game and is the leading scorer but yet he isn't a scorer? Trust me, I think Arrez will throw the TEAM mentality out in this game and show his offensive game a little more and throw down a few nice dunks.

Plato Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I think this game is between session of the State Tournament on Saturday (I'm pretty sure it's at 3:15) and is played at Transy. I'll be surprised if Henderson gets to play because his team will still be probably playing in the state tourney. Jordan Stephens from Montgomery Co. is playing. Congrats Jordan!

That's what had me confused about the whole thing because I was wondering how Henderon was slelected since his team is in the tourney.

I'm assuming it's because he was 9th region POY. I don't think he will play in it though, as I'm hoping his team will still be playing on Saturday.
bill_ed Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I think all POY are invited. I know Justin Hicks from Hazard played in this same game last year.
nees1212 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 You all are talking about Arrez not playing, but what about Henley coaching if he has a state championship that night?
