March 11, 200818 yr I wouldn't turn down Rudi and Shaun on my roster. It doesn't always has to be Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside. Both can be similar.....NFL teams look at longevity. You would be crazy not to. But you are right....they wouldn't be on the same roster. Cost is the biggest factor. So you would want the Bengals to not just have one but two guys who are past their primes as the runningbacks? I mean the running game is one thing that really killed the Bengals last year, and having those two guys together definitely would not make it better. I can see having maybe one, but definitely not both.
March 12, 200818 yr Author I honestly think his salary is so big that they are going to have to cut him! Talk about getting nothing out of a guy you way overpaid for (I really like Alexander too).
March 12, 200818 yr He lead them to their first Super Bowl, and he got paid for doing it. They got their return. Again, they have lost some key people on the left side and a main blocking Fullback. I believe I have mentioned he has been injured and still played.
March 12, 200818 yr Author Them letting Hutchinson go was the worst mistake that oragnization might have ever made. They still haven't gotten over it. His production went WAY down as soon as he left for Minn. Strong gone has hurt too. The sad thing is that his backup looked better than him last year. I like Shaun and everything he represents as a person and a KY boy but I don't think he will ever get back to the level he was at.

The poison pill Minnesota put in that contract made it fairly impossible not to let him go... Shaun's time has passed... My all-time favorite 'Hawk but it's best for all parties to end it now.
