2008 Dixie

I haven't heard anything about Dixie except for Koski signing with Morehead. I'm just curious to see what everybody's opinion is on the upcoming Colonels team.

Thank you. Well I'm not gonna say my opinion. I just want to hear what everybody else's is.

The entire offensive line is gone with the exception of sophmore Lubrano who had significant playing time. I believe he started a majority of the games. They have no kickers coming up to replace Jett (senior). As a matter of fact, I believe their JV backup quarterback (Wilson) was also the JV field goal kicker/punter. He was progressing very well last season until he sustained a knee/leg injury. Dixie will have a couple of good receivers. Connor Brock will be a stud at running back, he just needs to work on his receiving skills.

 

Defense, is a big question. Some guys on last year's defensive unit just did not get the job done and I did not see anything on JV team either. I hope I'm completely wrong but I just did not see it. When you start the year with 73 guys on varsity and end up the year with 42, that's a problem. Too much selfish attitude and me, me, me, last year from some guys.

Well i'm gonna lie and tell my opinion anyway:p I think the attitude going into 2008 season is opposite of what it was last year. The juniors for next season are the powerhouse class and they are more TEAM players than I players. And to me, that makes all the difference in the world is what kind of attitude a team has. The senior class from last season had a ton of talent but no TEAM attitude.
