Even when "The Boss" played, Coach Kidwell was a class act and still is, when you think of Lewis you think of the Coach. May you enjoy half the joy you have brought everyone else

 

Even when "the Boss" played ?-(LOL), he was there and was the same class act when the "rambler" was around. Coach Kidwell certainly deserves any and all recognition and more that Lewis gives him. Boss you are 100% correct in that when one thinks of Lewis Co. sports, coach Kidwell is usually the first name that comes to mind.

Didn't see him trying to get the timeout I was watching the kid with the ball, but did see him pull a Bobby Knight and chase the referee's to the locker room.

 

I heard about this. It amazes me how much the refs have let this coach get away with this year. He all but guards the opposing teams players; can't keep him off the floor. His timeout talks can be a bit R rated as well. I moved my family out of ear shot of their bench so that the kids didn't pick up any of the language.

My dad set no more then 10 feet from their bench the entire night and said he was also suprised the officials didnt give him the TO. But when you have someone who yells constantly such as he does, you have to block him out and the officials were probably just trying to focus on the game and not some of the things he was saying. He also said he heard many bad words coming from him the entire night.

He's a true ref basher. (As bad as I've seen) It seems like thats all he concentrates on.:ylsuper:

Agreed. I love to bash the officials myself but fans get away with that. I dont think a coach should be worried so much about yelling at the officials and should concentate on developing his team. This man has a good young team that he should be working with to develop.

I agree that the refs have to block out what a coach like that is saying.. But with the game on the line they have to keep there ears open...Flemings coach and a few players were all trying to get a time out but apparently it wasn't important enough for the ref to listen too...This play really changed the outcome of the game..

I'm not a Fleming or Lewis Co fan and I don't ever remember a coach being that bad at bashing officials. I was watching the kid taking the last shot and wasn't watching the coach trying to call that time out. Everything happened pretty fast. He had a temper tantrum in front of the Lewis Fans after the game that was very unprofessional.

If the player heard, I would have thought he would have called the time-out. I didnt hear the coach or the player calling the time-out so I cant say why it wasnt given. I would think his players learned quickly selective hearing.

The player had one thing on his mind and that was to shoot the last shot. The coach had one thing on his mind and that was bashing the referee's.

You can down the coach all he wants, but he is still a good coach. Look at the record last year, I think it was maybe 7-23? They also had 4 seniors that year. Now they are 11-13? Still a losing record but better than last years and he is playing nothing but sophmores and freshman.

I'm not saying he can't coach I don't know enough about him to make that judgement, but I do know he could have done a better job coaching in this particular game if he would have concentrated more on his team and less on the officals. If any coach thinks that getting on the refs that much actually helps their team then they need to think again.
