Out of all the ones listed, I remember reading Christmas Carol and Huckelberry Finn.

 

Now I remember having people tell me about a bunch of the others and strategically listening in class discussions so that I could pass the test.

 

For me, it would be Stephen King, Richard Bachman :sssh: and Tom Clancy novels that I would list. They are classics to me.

 

I would also include the Left Behind series as modern day classics.

 

Since you like King/Bachman, I would recommend Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas novels or F. Paul Wilson's Repaiman Jack series.
