Home Court Advantage

Featured Replies

Better team wins, plain and simple. Advantage can factor in, but advantage is not the deciding factor in the end. The scoreboard is which will tell you the final score. The winner is the better team that night!

I believe Mason Co would have won by 12 or more over Montgomery if the game would have been played at Mason Co. Mason IMO is a better team than Montgomery and would probably win no matter where they play although Montgomery has a very good team and could create an upset. There is a home court advantage and I can not believe people would argue that point.

I have never argued the point of home court advantage, I can't believe people still can't agree that the better team wins on the given night.

Home court is an advantage and it is even a greater advantage if the teams are evenly matched. If the visiting team is a lot better than the home team chances are they will win the game anyway but the home teams chances are a lot better to pull off an upset in their own gym.

This is one of the dumbest arguments that I read on BGP. To say that there is no such thing as a home court advantage simply because a home team loses is ridiculous. Playing at home certainly doesn't guarantee a victory, but it definitely is an advantage to play at home.

Well said! You are correct.

This thread is done and I suggest, some read the Rules.
