ANYTHINGGOES Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Real good game considering there was only two refs. Listened to the Corbin AD say that a ref didn't show up so they had to do it with two. Whats going on with the refs this year? How can you not have someone show up? Is the Assigning Sec even doing his job? By the way I think Jackson Co. won because of only two refs. The JC coach should have been "T" up for coming out on the guy ref. Not JC fault, good win for the program and they have some good players, first time seeing them. Good luck to both teams, will be a good girls region also....wide open.
55bballfan Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 How did Jackson county benefit from only having two refs? The refs let them play on both ends.
ANYTHINGGOES Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 How did Jackson county benefit from only having two refs? The refs let them play on both ends. I agree both teams were able to play on both ends, but there seemed to be a few no calls that went JC way that may have been called with three. My point is there were three refs assigned to the game(according to the Corbin AD). There is no reason there should be only two when there were three assigned. JC won and thats cool, just went to the game because it was the best game for me to watch. No dog in the fight. I think this game showes that the girls region will be just as good as the boys. I think JC deserved to win, they were the better team tonight. Sure don't want to take anything away from the JC girls, they played great.
YoungBlood Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I agree with the statement that the girls region will be a good one. I would say that Middlesboro and Clay are the top 2 teams, but it wouldn't suprise me if someone else won the region. Good luck to all teams!

Depending on the draw (think they still draw) M'boro and Clay are for sure in the top along with SL, Corbin, Jackson, and Whitley.
WILDMAN Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Corbin's Mikkah Rogers had a huge game in the loss to the generals with 26 points and 20 rebounds. The tyra girl had a big game as well for the lady generals. It was a great to see 2 of the best players in the region go at it. Rogers played her heart out in the losing effort. I hope Coach Parsons benches some of the players who are constantly causing this team to lose games. I look for either Whitley or South to win the region. South IMO is the best team playing right now.
ClayCoFan Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I can't see anyone beating Clay for the regional title. The road to the Sweet Sixteen will not be a smooth one by any means, but I feel strongly that Clay will be going from the 13th.
WILDMAN Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 and your from Clay Co. No one saw Whitley beating clay either and guess what they did. Larry Anderson is a wizard on the sidelines and he will get the most out of his players. Lauren Wombles and Co. will be hard to beat, not to mention Corbin is in the 50 th district so maybe the rest of the region will get lucky and Corbin will upset one of the 2. Clay IMO is overrated, they are good but not like they have been in the past.
4chs Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 point guard always seems to kill corbin . has more turnovers than the rest of the team combined Maybe because she handles the ball the most.
