No surprise here. Henry County is a tough road game.

Payton Ponzer had about 9 'dimes' and his little bother Jordan had eleven points. Walton's 'D' wasn't the best tonight, but a win is a win. Kirk didn't have a great night, but Jones had a solid all around game.

Payton Ponzer had quite a few assists, and took the ball to the rim with no problem. Jones had some nice buckets also. Mike Martin played some nice defense and I also thought Kirk played well. Little Ponzer is a very nice player. He will be fun to watch in the next couple of years. A nice win against a tough physical team to play on their home floor.

Payton had around 16 points, and around 8-9 assists. Martin did play hard, like normal for him, and yes, I must agree on the younger Ponzer. He has some good skills. The team did play hard but seemed like a step behind. Henry County gave them a tough run but it just wasn't enough. Walton needs to play better "D" as a team, to be able to play with Gallatin in the "All A."

 

It's always fun to travel down and back from Henry County. What a great gym to play in.

 

Does anyone know how much Henry County holds? I was thniking 6-thousand?

The KHSAA website says 5400.
