Montgomery Co 70 St Pat 60

Recommended Posts

9 and 8 from Clark. Not flashy but gets the job done.

I assume that if Owens was getting doubled on the way up the floor he had to give the ball up. Was there a primary defender (often times Rash takes on the opposition's #1 offensive threat) on him after giving up the ball?

Rash didn't start tonight. He's been sick and missed a practice. He still played quite a few minutes and guarded Owens when he was in the game. The Indians made it tough for Owens - 1 asst. 13 turn overs, 9 pts (0 in 2nd half).

St. Pat did a nice job executing their game plan. They played a packed in zone all night and Montgomery couldn't hit the broad side... 34% FG and 26% 3FG. A big boost for MC came from a place where they usually struggle..... the free throw line. MC was 18/23 for 78% (Stephens was 7/11!!!!)

How could it not be a packed house? That place gets LOUD!

I've seem Stephens several yimes over the past 3 years. Seems like he will typically miss 4 or 5 of his first 6, then make about 4 or 5 of his next 6. 7/11 is a good percentage for him.

Coach Hinson was fired up after what seemed to be a clean block that Stephen Mason put on Stevenson on Montgomery and coach Hinson was very upset and referee K. Hudson gave him the indication for the "T" but stoped with just a warning. That somewhat turned the game IMO alot of calls against St. Pat after that. But st.pat only hurt thereself with countless turnovers. But I still believe the competition they have played so far will send them to a region All "A" Championship. Nice effort last night. Also impressive crowd at the (clover den) last night I had to park at Hayswood Hospital

Ugly night all around.... 48 Turnovers combined by both squads... Leading the way was Owens with 10 and Stephans with 9... Shots a small gym floor and a lot of double teams.

Saint Pat's faught hard all the way to the end. Coach Hinson is one of my favorites... He coached how every coach should...down 12 with 3 to go he never gave up and keep his energy and it reflected by the way his team battled...
