Cumberland 55 Bell County 32

Man, you sound like there aren't ever any transfers to other schools. Why the Cumberland/North Carolina reference?

It could be easy to look at any roster and say something like that.

Hate to say it but, it is quite obvious why they are looked at that way. I wonder do the Bell County kids take that kind of abuse in the 14th region. I bet they don't. It is unfortunate but, thats the way it is. Its not like they were taken from anyone in the 13th region. I bet Coach Akal and Coach Edwards understand the reason why. I think Coach Akal and the rest of stafff does a heck of a job regardless of where the players are from. There has been a lot of coaches who has had a lot of talent and have not won. And if you ask the people who follow Cumberland then you know that this staff was a big part of the 2003 regional championship team. Oh yeah, there were no transfers.

I wonder why they waited so long to eject him.

Morris' Cumberland connections were discussed in the story. The fight took a little out of that angle.

I'm talking about the Coach Morris and the Coach Akal connection. Like the story on the Hogue, Blanton, Leisge, and Ryhmer connection. Wasn't both coaches pretty good in high school?

Very unlike Zachery. I would think their has to be some confusion with one of the officials involved I would not be surprised if their was a mistake made. Talking to one of my friends at Bell today they were looking into getting the tape reviewed by KHSAA.

The Cumberland three and North Carolina two are playing pretty good ball but I think this is not over yet. How many years had it been since Cumberland beat Bell?

Why is that relevant? You think two kids from NC moved to Cumberland just to play ball? I doubt it. Cry about it. I'm from Bell Co. and I know thats not an excuse for getting smoked by Cumberland.

I was at the Bell-Pineville game tonight and Zachery did play. Scuttlebut was that the tape was to be reviewed by the KHSAA and that Carton was the player serving the suspension for leaving the bench?

This is Johnsons third season at Cumberland. He came to CHS as a sophomore having not played varsity basketball. The staff has helped mold him in to the player he is.
