Any stats from this game? Look's like John D's crew finally get a good win.

I didn't go to the game tonight at Red Bird, so I don't have any stats. I got the score from the KHSAA website.

Just saw it on Sports Overtime, still no stats, if anyone gets an article on this game or some box scores, please post them...Thank you.

 I suppose it was "for the birds" as far as my Owls were concerned. :D

They play again February 19th in Booneville. Hopefully that night a different bird will win.

I've been to one game at Owsley County...an All "A" game with Hazard a few years back. I loved the gym and would love to make it back some time. Good luck Prof on the remainder of the season.:thumb:

I thought Owsley may contend for the district title, but at 3-8 I am not so sure. Congrats to Redbird .

They're really not that far off from getting it together. Of their 8 losses, only one was by a large amount, 19 points to Estill. But the other seven are by 3, 6, 9, 8, 11, 6, and 7. So, with some improvement in protecting the ball and execution, and defense, they still can be a contender. Or at least upset a contender at tournament time like they did last year.

Is Owsley in the district with Leslie and PCC? I think Buckhorn is to right? I'm not sure, not familiar with the district just the teams.

No. You're thinking of the 54th district with Perry Central, Leslie County, Hazard, and Buckhorn.

Owsley County is in the 56th district with Lee County, Powell County, and Estill County.

Didn't Harlan beat Red Bird by 30? What happened there? I know Harlan is way down this year. Did Davis not play in that game?

Davis played, and had a very quiet 15 points, I don't want to make excuses for the Cardinals, or take away anything from Harlan, they came to play that night...Red Bird just honestly could not get ANYTHING started. I think they shot under 20 percent for the game. Living close to Harlan I attended this game, and the Cardinals just looked like they would rather be doing ANYTHING other than playing basketball, is all I can say to sum that one up.

Just goes to show you, you can't tell by the scores of other games, Leslie beats Harlan, Owsley beats Leslie and Red Bird beats Owsley.

Yeah, but I saw Lynn Camp and Red Bird play each other. I saw Harlan at the Hoopin' it Up tourny and I was blown away when I saw that score. I wasn't so shocked that Harlan won, but by 30 was crazy.
