I would never make that mistake.

You wouldn't. But that mistake is made hourly in this country and our society says you can take another human's life to rectify that mistake. And you support that.

I would ask if we both were financially able to support said possible child. .

I pass along advice that someone pass on to me when I was first married and had the position that we were going to wait to have children till we could afford it.

"If you wait until you can afford to have children, you will never have children."

Having a child is about sacrifice.

It is about giving of myself for the betterment of my child. It is about denying myself monetary pleasures I would like to have so that my child can have things. It is about turning away my individual wants so that my child can have experiences that lets them grow into a responsible, Christ-loving adult.

Having a child is willing to sacrifice yourself by coming down out of Heaven, be tortured and crucified that someday we can all be reunited in Heaven for eternity.

Being a parent is very similar to exactly like what Jesus did for each of us.

I think your wrong as well. I just have a problem with anything that takes a person's rights away. Its such a slippery slope.

Are your posts seriously in line with your beliefs or are you just trying to fire people up?

Is your church familiar with your beliefs and supportive? I am not familiar with a denomination of Christianity that alligns itself with your views as expressed on this discussion board.

Yes, Yes, Yes, Depends

You had mentioned in another thread that you were studying to be a minister, I believe.

Would Jesus support legalizing prostition, drugs and abortions? Would Jesus support a society ACCEPTING the legalization of those things?

after it is born, then it is no longer a fetus, it is a human being, that needs to be taken care of. Before that, or atleast until the end of the phase in which abortion is possible, it is a fetus, not a human.

It is a human from the moment of conception, a real live baby.

Gooch didn't say he was having sex outside of marriage. In fact, I read it that he tried really hard to stay out of the hypothetical situation about him having sex outside of marriage.

And it might be a call from God. And God very well may have led him here to BGP to testdrive some of his thoughts.

And God may have very well have put us on BGP to address these issues with him and put thoughts in his mind to have him reconsider his views on matter.

And once he rethinks these issues and changes his mind on them, he might very well turn out to be a great minister that will lead many to Christ.

I truly hope that is the case. I am not convinced at this point, however. I will pray for him.

I just have to think the majority of the stuff he posts is a joke. Or at least I hope so....
