Lady Bears and LadyHounds playing each other in the regular season for first time in maybe 4 or 5 years....Bracken is struggling coming off an only 2 point win over Deming while Paris just celebrated their first win against Harrison.

Any thoughts on this 10th region game?

To be honest we really don't know how good Paris will be against teams within their on class. So far this season the Ladyhounds have played 3-6A schools, 1-5A and 1-4A. This Paris team is still very talented despite their record. If they come to play, then it could be a long night for Bracken County. But that's the question ... if they come to play? The last time these two teams played a regular season game came back on Jan. 25, 2001 in a game that was won 49-34 by Paris at Paris. They have met several times during the All "A" 10th Region Tournament since that 2001 meeting.

Bracken County needs to dictate tempo, handle the Paris press, and work the ball inside to Ahrens to have any success against this quick Paris team. Could be a long night if the press is effective early. Run the bench in early and often to wear the opponent down if your in the game or not in the game. These kids need the experience to have any success come the Class A tournament.

Paris is quick and they probably will press. Hopefully they can generate layups from this because they sure as heck can't shoot from the outside.

There you go, a perfect scouting report, some sort of zone that forces the shot on the outside while covering up the paint should be utilized. If the press is handled, game could be interesting.

I believe so. She is not a scoring threat but is a force on defense and the boards-also has a tendency of fouling out. I don't know if she will be missed Tuesday night.
