Powell County came into Booneville on Homecoming Night and showed the lady Owls just exactly who is the favorite to win the 56th district. The lady Owls led 3 to 0 to start the game and it never got any closer. The lady Owls played lethargic on defense, allowing Powell County several lay ups from runouts and open shots under the basket. Powell County played excellent team ball and made a statement in the win.

Thats harsh, but very true. :fight: Powell just dominated the whole game. The first 2 min. belong to Owsley then the rest to Powell.

The lady Owls don't seem to be playing with the same fire they played with last year. I hope this game will be a wake-up call, there are some really good girls on that team and I know they can play better than they showed last night.

I agree. They have 4 starters returning from last season, plus a pretty good player off the bench in the 8th grader. There's no excuse for a 35 point lost at home. Powell lost some good players last year, and wasn't even playing this game with Jones, their point guard, who is injured. I'm not saying Powell's win was a fluke, but the score should be much closer than this. Lady Owls, learn from this game and get it together!!! You're better than this.
