Fairview 88 Lewis County 78 (OT)

Featured Replies

Eagles survive in Vanceburg. Lions up by fifteen with 2:20 to play in the third quarter. Collins of Fairview banks in a three to send the game to OT at the buzzer. Good Job both teams.

Both teams played hard. Hall for Fairview is a good player but seems to force a lot. Lewis Co. did a much better job shooting the ball and forced turnovers in the first half. Fairview made their free throws down the stretch where Lewis seemed to struggle throughout the game. I thought there were way to many fouls called. When Enix (20 who guarded Hall while in the game) breathed on Hall he was called for the foul. He is a great defender and wasn't able to display that on the bench. Not blaming the refs, Lewis Co. was deflated after the three and Fairview took advantage.

Not that big of a deal but Collins three was not a bank shot. Newspaper was incorrect.

You're right it was not a bank shot.

Playing Lewis in Vanceburg is a tough task for anyone, for whatever reason imo they (Lewis) have one of the best home court advantages around.

As for the game itself, sounds like it was a great game and both teams played hard.
