Excellent effort by the Hounds tonight as they bounce back from the heartbreaker to Knoxville Catholic last night. Hounds played with a lot of energy, physicality, and heart tonight. The press was very effective and great games all around for the Hounds. Great way to bounce back. Now it's onto Buckhorn Tuesday before the big rival game against Laurel on Friday.

Hounds looked like a totally different team tonight. Great win and great way to bounce back after a disappointing loss. Good luck Tuesday!:ylsuper:

Good win for the Hounds tonight. Is the Corbin/Laurel (South) game, really a rivalry?

^There isn't much difference in the Corbin/South rivalry than the North/South rivalry. I guess South/North is more about bragging rights thus giving it more appeal but Corbin/South usually has more meaning towards overall success. There is definitely no love loss in the two teams.

I guess with South in the 13th, it makes it that much more of a rivalry. Is South, Corbin's biggest rival?

I'd say so these days. Back in the 90's Harlan seemed to be but then again back then, Corbin was #1 one year and Harlan was #2 in the state. The following year the rankings were flip flopped. Knox Central has been a big rival as well as Williamsburg but South takes the cake.

Hard for me to believe Williamsburg is anywhere near rival status like the other teams listed. IMO Corbin is a big game to just about every team in the 13th in any sport due to their huge success over the years, these good teams just didn't happen the last few years they have been around most years for a long, long time.

I'm sure they looked different, 1. They were raked over the coals a bit I guess from their Friday effort and 2. East may have been a team they could handle much easier it sounds like with the blowout.

Bryan Station rolled over KnoxCath!

The game was actually closer than the final score would indicate. Knoxville Catholic's coach subbed down to his last 5 on the bench down 10-12 points with 5:00 left in the game so they could get some playing time during their trip, Bryan Station really pushed the lead out in the last 5 minutes.
