Carroll has been competitive in each of their games. They are very inexperienced, even their two seniors do not have much varsity experience. The team needs to stay positve and learn from each game. They will be a very good team in time.

I thought Owen beat Carroll bad on the boards. I think 4 players had 8 or more boards, and Owen beat them down the floor a lot. Carroll has some talented players, but they play better in the half court set than running it up and down the floor. Owen's turnovers kept Carrol in it in the first half pr it would have been over a lot earlier.

 

I was very impressed when Owen played Trimble. They dominated on the boards. I believe that the total was 47-20. Owen had 21 offensive rebounds that night.

Owen and Carroll will always be a big game since they are district opponents now. All the district games will be tough when you add Gallatin and Henry to the mix. All 4 teams are well coached, so it will come down as to who makes the plays down the stretch. Any of the 4 could win the district at season's end.:eek:

Gallatin plays Henry tonight in a district game, then both Wildcats play Carroll Co. next week. It's a big time for 31st district teams right now.
