Mason County wins by a large margin, but this game was close until pretty much the 2nd half. Mason had too many turnovers, and had they been playing someone like Montgomery, would have probably been beaten badly. There also were some pretty bad lapses on defense. A win's a win, no matter how it's done, but Mason better step it up when they begin to face stiffer competition.

 

Chambers led the way with 24, Cline had 20, and Litzinger with 17.

The night before when they played Ripley she didn't get the start, and that is because she is coming off an illness. She may not be sick now, but is recovering. I've known planty of players to play while sick though...

Agreed, but are handling theses teams by wins of 42 and 29 points.

Both girls had mono which is sometimes very difficult to recover from. Kasey Litzinger had it as well. Still unsure upon Hillary's return. Get well soon Lady Royals!

There are not many teams that face top notch calibar teams in November and the early part of December. This Mason team is averaging 86 points a game, they play 8-9 players, and all are contributing. Regardless of who they play, they still have to put the ball in the basket to score that many points.

May contribute 8-10 pointas as a whole, They still for the most part rarely use a bench except at end of quarters, atleast thats what i have been seeing so far. I am not knocking anyone whaen you put up 87 points a game you are going to winn ALOT of ballgames. But the bench isnt putting up 25-30 of those 87 points either, I hope they continue to play well and hope the bench can contribute when they need more then just a couple of baskets.

In the Mt. Dew shootout, the two games Mason County played, they hit for 86 points. 26 of those points came from the bench players. A big difference in contribution from the past few years. As far as using a bench at the end of the quarters, that is how you sometimes use a bench, run a rotation to spell your starters some breathers. They played 9 players in the shootout, all 9 scored, played at least 10 minutes.
