The Radio guy from WBurg never called his name. He must have had him confused with someone else. Has he changed numbers or something like that? I wish the Campers had radio coverage. I am sure someone would sponser them if a station wanted to pursue that option.

Bubba Rocks! Maybe you could do it if we got a sponser. Bubba vs. bring it on! Lynn Camp just appreciates getting mentioned sometimes. Hopefully someday people will recognize were not that bad! In fact were pretty fun to watch. Go Cats!

What happend to the burg?

Guard play tonight killed the Burg they werent breaking the press at all and the Campers were getting open 3's all night and Lynn Camp took advantage of the open looks.

Big win for Coach Pennington and the Cats. Seems this young coach is maturing into a very seasoned sideline veteren. I like the way his teams' play. I believe his is undefeated in his career against the Burg. Good luck to the Wildcats the rest of the way.:fire:

 

 

 

Good against the little schools, Pennington nevers wins a big game!

Lynn Camp around 500 students 7-12. Small All A school surrounded by KC, Corbin, and South. All tradition rich basketball schools. Not much basketball tradition. Pretty much a football school untill now. Before coach P the camp had 3 wins. Had never beaten central since 1966. Never won 17 game since the Gerald Foley era which was a school record until three years ago. Only 5 district runner up trophies in school history Coach P and his staff were a part of one. The first since 62. Two players in this 4 year coach P era have went to college on basketball scholorships. Last year we were the third leading scoring team in the state. Big wins Jackson County, Pineville, Whitley, Wayne, and Knox Central. All bigger schools except pineville. Not to bad for a school that is picked below most of the region this and every year!:ylsuper:

Pennington doesn't win the big games anyway. He just coaches them. Our wildcats are the ones win them.:fight: Run Cats Run! Good luck against a Redbird team that went to the region last year and returns all but one player.:thumb: This year they are a top ten team in the region according to the fearless forecast. Coach P has hung in there and made the Campers a very competitive class A team. They are consisently in the middle of the pack and that is far above where they were from most of the 90's. He has had the misfortune of catching Barbourville and Pineville on the upswing the last few seasons. Otherwise he may have very well been an annual participant in the regional tournament. He is a snazzy dresser as well. I like his style and fire on the sideline. He is like a little general over there leading the Cats.

I agree Coach Pennington has been doing a good job at LC, but I disagree with the Gerald Foley 17 win statement and school record wins, in 1989-1990 LC won 20 and lost 10 I played on that team and was coached by Coach Dixon. Back in those days we played in the SEKC conference and played all the other teams at least once a year, pretty much everyone in the 13th (Corbin, Cawood, Bell Co., Clay Co., B'ville, M,boro, Cumberland, Harlan, etc..) harder to win alot of games back then, and the district was 6 usually really good teams not 4 like today. By the way the Foley era was only one year and he did a very good job winning 17 games that year before going back to Corbin. Keep up the good work Wildcats.

The LC win over Pineville in the district on their home floor 2 or 3 years ago should be consisdered a big win even if Mt. Lions are a small school.
