Whitley County vs Corbin

Featured Replies

What time is the game?

The boys play at 6:00 and the girl's game follows.

Whitley is a good team, they just need continuity from the top. They gave Corbin all they wanted last year in the district and that was with Josh. While Crawford was never 100% or even probably 80% last season, playing without him is an even bigger hurdle to overcome. Sure the Hounds have a slew of very talented players such as Johnson, Smith, Barley, Manns, Wilson, L. Crawford, Hendrickson, ect ect but playing without your best player and a guy who has been a team leader since his freshman season is a big deal. Corbin will probably lose 4 or 5 games they shouldn't without Josh. I just hope that he comes back better than ever not only for the teams sake but his because he has a bright future.

While I do think Whitley is a fine team and a program that has potential to be on the rise, beating Corbin at Corbin will be a tough task. If Whitley responds correctly and do not let the hype of Corbin intimidate them, they can make a game out of this. I don't expect a 55 point win early in the year like last season though. Corbin should win something like 85-68 but will be much closer than the score indicates. Best wishes and luck to both teams.
