I recently watched a film of the 'Burg and Cambpellsville, so I am just curious when those kids got replaced.

That game was a pure abomination compared to other performances that the Jackets have put out. I know that they were missing a couple kids but it almost seems like a complete transformation of a program in no time flat.

Nuff said, Williamsburg by right around 2 TD's.

 

I think the bus trip over was hard on Williamsburg and missing a couple of key players on Defense hurt. If I am correct the 2nd half of that Game Williamsburg played much better.

most of those fumbles were caused by hits thus resulting in a lack of focus.

 

IMHO lock of focus deals with mental mistakes. Playing out of position, throwing stupid passes resulting in turnovers in LC territory, not playing full speed and bad snaps (LC did have a couple of those but recovered them)

 

Holding onto the ball could be attributed to focus if no one touches you I suppose.

3 fumbles in the game were bad snaps (new QB) with no one TOUCHING them. 2 were bad snaps on punts, with NO ONE touching them. 2 were bad exchanges on hand offs with... NO ONE TOUCHING THEM! One was a dive for yardage and the ball was dropped. That is at least 8 of 12 with no defensive player involved. IF that's focus, it was POOR focus.

 

We never used Joe or the turnovers as excuses. We never said Williamsburg played bad. Just answering an earlier post about focus and lack of it. LC's focus just was not there that night.

All I know is I saw alot of Lynn Camp players laying all over the field from where the Jackets seemed to be FOCUSED on hitting them. I think that is what defense is all about.

I did say it was a game full of turnovers; I simply didn't recall that many. I also think it takes away from the gutsy effort the Cats showed. The effort didn't seem to be there in the Williamsburg losses, except the 2nd half at Campbellsville. So there is not a difference in my posts regarding focus and excuses. Focus is penalties (200+) at Pineville, throwing to wide open DEFENDERS with mental mistakes, and missing assignments. That is certainly different than simply fumbling on 2nd effort plays, having a ball stripped/knocked out, and so on. The fact is the game is over, and further discussion of this doesn't belong on this thread...there is afterall a WHS - LC thread somewhere.

 

Clinton County has nothing to lose in this game...so I expect to see a team playing with abandon tonight...the challenge is for WHS to respond.
