Final. With this win the Jackets locked up the #1 seed in district 6.

Well it's a win. The Jackets were sloppy at times, and had a couple of starters out, but were able to hang on in this one. If anyone had told me this young team would secure the top seed in the district I would have said too good to be true. But Coach Herron and his staff have developed this group of young men and have them believing in what they can accomplish. It seems each week, the last 3 weeks, someone new has stepped up. Last night Jake Moses and Garret Phillips stepped up big, and Pettit may have played his best defensive game. My hats off to the Jackets, and keep believing!

Garrett Phillips turned this game around with his fumble return for a touchdown and big hit on the ensuing kickoff forcing a fumble. Jake Moses stepped up big in Will's abscence. Credit goes to Pineville for playing hard to the final horn. They should be much better next year in that they have very few seniors.

Jake Moses filled in and had a good game running the ball for W'burg...Garrett Phillips LB play has really improved, he is making some big plays...

Pineville is a lot better team than they get credit for. This game showed that they can play with good teams. Sounds like they were some mental mistakes away from a BIG upset.

Actually Williamsburg had the more mental mistakes.

Williamsburg was not very sharp early but part of that was Pineville's intensity. It was their playoff game and they gave a great effert.

I agree. Pineville spent two weeks working on the burg! That being said Williamsburg was playing without one of its key starters and another starter saw limited action, but what was promising was the play of Jake Moses, way to go kid

Always good to see a kid step up and play well...Thomas Rains and Jake Moses were both kids that played more than usual and did their jobs. The team on the whole must regain, and maintain, focus now that the playoffs have begun...win or pack it up until spring!!!
