I noticed in today's CJ a local athlete set an NFL record way to go Rob Bironas - Trinity Grad

 

Congrats! X fan here and I hate to admit I don't remember him. When did he play, how many years did he start?

I am glad to hear of this. That makes Kentucky two Kickers in the NFL - Akers and Bironas. Both Pro Bowl performers to boot.

Yes, it is great to see. I loved the interview on ESPN yesterday. He talked about how in his first year in the NFL he lived in hotel--knowing that he was only a couple of bad kicks away from not having a job. His attitude and mental approach are great. I will say ,too, that David Akers, a former U of L kicker, has the same great attitude. It took Akers a good while to make it.

This is his 3rd year and he is 29 years old. He had to play at T around 1994-1996.
