They have fell off, greatly.

 

I'm not familiar with the program, but it seems like Apollo is annually picked to be one of the best in western Kentucky and then they lose two, three, four games that no one expected; then follow it up with a first round playoff loss (they've only won four playoff games in their history: 1996, twice in 2001, 2005).

 

Do we consistently expect them to be better than they really are? Do they underachieve? I have no idea.

I have no idea but from the past 5-10 years they have basically been non-existent in the big game. Granted they did lose to Miller and Owensboro in 2001 in the region final, and they had a very good team that year. They have never really established a football program since the school was founded.

Apollo just doesn't seem to be playing as a team. I thought preseason they were the favorites for the district but boy was I wrong. New year same Apollo.
