Best tasting "Fresh Fish"

Featured Replies

Local Fish......crapppie

I have a family member who lives in Detroit and He brings home a cooler full of monster slabs of WALLEYE once a year out of the Great Lakes. We have a huge fish fry and it is by far the best tasting fish I have eaten.

I go to Florida every year and I would say best overall is either fresh Flounder or Grouper.......Local fish I would have to say Bluegill or catfish (caught in colder water)

Mudcat without a doubt is the best.

Catfish and crappie were always my favorite until this past summer. We caught some small mouth and cleaned them and fixed them that night. The best fish I ever ate. Crushed up crackers and egg yolk for the batter, with lots of salt and pepper. Delicious.

Crappie, Sauger, Walleye, and bluegill. Hands down.
