September 19, 200718 yr Just so everyone is clear, since beating Top 5 Michigan the boys of Appy St. have decimated world beater Lenoir-Rhyne and then had an impressive 13 point home victory over juggernaut Northern Arizona. Seriously, please don't try and justify the loss by taking the Appy St. is just that good model. Michigan was flat-out unprepared and got it handed to them, and then, with their backs against the wall they failed to even show up for their next home game. You want to defend that than have at it. I'm not defending anything. There's no excuse to lose that game for Michigan. On the same token, don't be surprised if they win out and play in the Rose Bowl.
September 19, 200718 yr Eats crow? Okay, if Michigan runs the table from here on out I'll eat freaking live crow if that makes you happy. Just be easy to find when they pick up a loss... You act like Michigan is an ex-gf that cheated on you or something. I didn't mean to touch a nerve. I was just stating my opinion, not trying to fight with anyone.

Oh my goodness, now you have them in a BCS game? Seriously, I need some of whatever you have. :bunny: Like I said, if Michigan runs the table I'll do anything you want in the form of eating crow. I'll add a "LLoyd Carr is a Genius" tag-line to every post I make for the next 12 months if that makes you happy. But again, be easy to find when this prediction of yours is not even in the ball-park of being correct. The Rose Bowl? Wow.....
September 19, 200718 yr For the record, my opinion is that Michigan will finish the season at 9-2 or 8-3, with the 3rd loss coming from either Penn State, O$U, or Wisconsin.

You didn't touch a nerve at all, just made a prediction that I disagreed with. That is the purpose, right, to debate? Who is fighting? You have a Michigan team that has looked abysmal winning 10 straight and playing in Pasadena, why would I find that hard to swallow?

You have a Michigan team that has looked abysmal winning 10 straight and playing in Pasadena, why would I find that hard to swallow? Ok, I'm cool with that. We'll be able to have a good discussion this Saturday after we see how the Penn State game turns out. If they win that one, watch out.

September 19, 200718 yr That would be a good win for Michigan, no question. Here's Michigan's schedule after Penn State: Northwestern Eastern Michigan Purdue Illinois Minnesota Mich. State Wisconsin O$U
September 19, 200718 yr Here's Michigan's schedule after Penn State: Northwestern Eastern Michigan Purdue Illinois Minnesota Mich. State Wisconsin O$U Again, if they win-out I'll eat all the crow you want and proclaim Lloyd Carr the greatest coach on the planet (of course, with tongue planted firmly in cheek).

September 19, 200718 yr I am not trying to defend Michigan at all, but I could see them running the table. The type of team that seems to be able to beat them is a team that spreads their defense out and is just much more athletic. (OSU (last year), Appy St. Oregon) They could very easily run the Big 10 just because of the style played in the Big 10. Michigan gets exposed more when they play a team like App St. or Oregon, more then a team like Wisconsin or Penn State.
September 19, 200718 yr Michigan gets exposed more when they play a team like App St. or Oregon, more then a team like Wisconsin or Penn State. I'm just letting this statement sink in...that a team like Appy St. can "expose" freaking Michigan. I'll be honest NBLS, it's sticking in my throat a bit.
September 19, 200718 yr Appy State has Division I's longest winning streak right now at 17 games. They also exposed North Carolina State last season, but ended up losing by 13 points. The season before that, they lost 24-0 to #6 LSU on the road. Should they have beaten Michigan? No. But, its not as if they are Pikeville College or something.

I'll be honest NBLS, it's sticking in my throat a bit. I am just saying that the spread offense allows a less talented team to give Michigan problems, where as I think Michigan would be better suited for a team that will line up and play an old fashion brand of football.
