Scheduled for 7:30 kickoff.

Let's all remember the two kids from SV who were injured in the car accident yesterday that resulted in this game being put off a day.

Corey Mullins and Anthony Damron, you guys are in our prayers.

If anyone can post updates, please do.

WXCC 96.5 fm is covering the game, but with the scheduling change, they have the Marshall game on right now. There is about 6 minutes to go in the Marshall game and then they will switch over to Belfry/SV.

Everyone knew this would be completely one-sided. And with the addition of the two players in the accident yesterday...well...

If I were coaching at Shelby Valley, maybe I'd have cancelled this game outright. And if I were Coach Haywood, I would have offered the opportunity to do so.

But...I suppose the game must go on...

You gotta feel for the Wildcats tonight...

Belfry Kicker Glenn Ernest kicks a 50 yd field goal as the first half comes to an end.

Way to go Glenn. :ylsuper:

It has been pretty competitive, oneijoe.

SV turnovers have been the difference. SV has played fairly tough D and they have moved the ball on Belfry, but they have come up short of the end zone. This SV team is much improved.

WOW. Mountain Football, for that matter state wide football, has come a long way in the past couple years in terms of special teams and kickers.

And Ernest is a big ole lineman who kicks straight ahead. Old school baby, and a 50 yarder is dang good for that kind of kicker.

First Half Totals

Rushing Belfry 193 SV 75

Passing Belfry 51 SV 32

3rd Qtr

Both teams trading possessions.

I agree. Get plenty of power behind those kicks but accuracy is a problem. Either way, its a 50 yarder and still counts for 3 points.:thumb:
