Player of the week:

Adam Bates of Russell, 114 yards rushing, 2 TD’s.

Honorable mention:

Bryan Tollivar of Raceland, 2 TD’s with 61 yd punt return for TD.

Russell and Ashland highlights this weekend as Ashland tries to establish itself and the remaining hope for the season. Raceland stubbed their toes last week and will be challenged by a talented and hungry Fairview football team expecting R-E-S-P-E-C-T from area football fans. Greenup County steps across the river seeking their first win alone with Boyd and Lawrence struggling to get a notch into the win columns themselves. Can you say, “Lloyd Carr, Leon Hart, Boise State and Lawrence county ‘Air Raid’ in the same sentence and not have a quagmire of questions flowing from every angle possible?”

Next week (4) matchups:

Ashland (0-3) @ Russell (3-0)

Boyd County (0-3) @ Pike County Central (2-1)

Fairview (3-0) @ Raceland (1-1)

Greenup County (0-2) @ South Point, OH ( )

Lawrence County (0-3) @ Prestonsburg (2-1)

Sorry they are a "Late" this week, I had to take care of some things. Now it is time to let the good times roll, and leave your thoughts. :argue:

The bottom 4 are still searching for Win #1, which makes it difficult to argue who is best as of today.

Just wondering Dawg, when are you going to work in the "cantell ratings games" ? Pretty soon after they are out or wait untill the seasons end?

I will use the current cantrell/massey/litkenhouse ratings during the week the teams are (fictionally) scheduled to play.

Raceland @ Lawrence (week 7)

Raceland @ Boyd (week 9)

Lawrence @ Ashland (week 10)

Another great job, DD. Them mythical NEKC is better organized then many conferences around the state. Good job.

It was brought to my attention that Greenup County should only have an 0-1 conference record. I will correct that in next weeks standings and I apologize to any Greenup supporters. Simple mistake

DD, thanks for the thread.:thumb:
