I think its great that JC appears to be more balanced. But lets call this game what it really was; a warm-up. Defeating South Point is hardly a measure of how good you are. Lets wait and see what JC does against some more talented teams before we say that they have an effective passing attack.

 

Very true. I think most everyone knew that JC could handle SP quite easily, but you still have to like the fact that Matney trusted Ratliff enough(which he should) to throw the ball around, which he did quite well. This season is huge for Ratliff, not only cause its his senior, but because depending on how well he plays will depend on what kind of D1 offers he gets. This kid has a nice touch and a rocket of an arm, so I like the fact that it seems his going to get to show off what a talent he is.

Maybe the passing game shown Saturday night will not allow teams to put 9 men in the box. Look for Grimm's stats to go up as the offensive line begins to gel. There were a lot of missed blocks and assignments against South Point.
