Who were some players that only played one year, and had a lot of success? Any names come to mind?

North Laurel had a couple of pretty darn good kids that were only 1 year players because they were foreign exchange students.

Did Anthony Grundy only get to play one year?

I can't think of many.

What about Von Fields from Harlan, he was player of the year in his region and then was never heard of again.....

Terry Davis from Pendleton County who only played 2006 on varsity, don't think he even scored a varsity point in 2005.

Ryne Smith of Scott HS...probably averaged about 12 points per game his senior season and made All District team. Probably didn't have 12 points total in junior season.

 

Danny Miller of Scott HS...sixth man junior season to Honorable Mention 10th Region in senior season.

 

Both of these players were key components on a team that won 20 games + and were not expected to compete at the level they did.

Bryan Niemeyer...Brossart HS...Keyed Brossarts run in the All A and was a major contributor in the District championship.

Bo Harris of GRC didn't play on the team at all till his senior year. Is now starting and doing great at Pikeville. Also made the KY / Ind all star team that year.
