Another great border rivalry. I hear Franklin-Simpson should be improved from last year and have a really good quarterback.

Courtney Dalcourt is the QB and he is a special athlete. He got a late start last year due to some health issues and basically had to learn on the go while FS started with three very tough opponents.

This season all the FS skills players will be in their second year of varsity competition. Some guys who did not play last season (and would have been key contributors) are back. The line has progressed very nicely.

This could be a good year for the Wildcats.

Has F-S changed their offensive scheme any with Dalcourt or are they pretty much doing the same as last year? I remember Dalcourt stepped in when the other QB was hurt over the summer in a car wreck. Were they running the same thing then?

I don’t know very much about F-S this year, however I did get the opportunity to see Russellville when they scrimmaged Monroe (Russellville won 21-14). Russellville has good size and speed at every position, their QB is a heck of an athlete and needs to be shadowed every play, at one point in the scrimmage Monroe had him pinned in on the sideline until he reversed all the way to the other sideline broke a few tackles and was gone for a 60 yard TD. They also have very good size on defense, especially at LB where they have 2 studs that play their position very well. I don’t know who will win this game but I can tell you that Russellville is a very solid team and should be taken serious in 3A….

Offensive scheme has changed to fit the personnel. Beyond that everyone will have to figure it out.

This could be a good year for the Wildcats.

They should win a good many more games this year than they did last year, as they made a very un-Franklin like move in down grading the schedule something fierce.

Dalcourt as well as Flippin are two of the area's best players and the Cats will be in the hunt for District and beyond...I just don't understand the watered down teams they're playing.

FS - 42

R-ville - 35

Out of district FS plays Russellville (always), Barren County, Muhl. South (definite drop off), Glasgow, Fort Campbell and Bowling Green.

FS dropped Warren Central which was always poorly attended. White House, TN which has never been more than two years at a time due to WH regional obligations. Trigg which is a rare matchup for FS.

Muhl. South is similar to Breck. Co and Glasgow is better than Adair.

I really don't see much downgrade in this schedule.

More on this so-called 'schedule downgrade'.

Non-District Schedule for 2007: Bowling Green>06 Warren Central, Fort Campbell > 06 Trigg, Russellville=>06 Russellville, Barren County>06 Adair County, M. South=>06 Breckenridge County, Glasgow= or maybe some weaker than White House, TN.
