Any thoughts on this 1st of the season matchup. How will these teams fair against each other. I know a little about SK. They will be young this year. However, they return probably the best setter in NKY in Megan Dunn. She should help the younger girls receive great sets.

SK defeats Highlands in two. Great win for the Pioneers after a devastating day on Monday when head coach Julie Krift resigned. SK had three sophomores in the lineup playing in their first varsity matches. They performed wonderfully.

Any idea why the head coach would resign on the first day of the regular season? That has to be tough on the team.

Personal reasons stated. She had been there 11 years. Pretty tough for the girls to handle. However, new coach Rebecca Volpe, has ample experience at the club and high school level(as an assistant).
