Unruly Boys or Sex Offenders?

Recently, my family and I visited Bardstown. Went to the old county jail and saw the stocks out in front. Put both of my kids in them to let them see how criminals used to be treated. Began to wonder if stocks in front of the courthouse wouldn't be a good thing, once again.

 

I think the stockades would be very effective.
