Both of the co-ADs were pinkslipped this year with one being hired back (who was an assitant football coach). Coach Hop has now been named Nicholas County Athletic Director.

To oversee the entire athletic program is a full load for one individual to handle on a full time basis. I give him credit for taking on the challenge and to accept the responsibility that goes with the many hats he will wear.

It kind of reminds me of Andy Taylor of Mayberry who is Sheriff and Justice Of The Peace.:lol:

Good luck to Coach Hopkins on the new A.D. position at Nicholas Co.:thumb: . As cville stated, this will be a lot to take care of and remain a head coach of a sport as well.

Im just hoping he can still give the amount of energy the football team needs to get out of its rut with the added tasks he now has.

Something I have noticed is that Nicholas always has a lot of guys come out for football. I say " a lot" considering the size of the town/county- kid ratio.

I think that Coach Hop will make a great AD, he knows what the sports programs in Nicholas Co. needs and I think that he will do anything in his power to turn every program in the school around to winning programs
