The Northern Kentucky High School Sports Report

FINALLY!!!! The announcement can be made official!!!!

 

I did get this approved through The Guru earlier this week.

 

I floated this idea earlier this year and it was met by mixed response, but Northern Kentucky High School Sports comes to the radio starting August 18th.

 

It will be a two-hour show that will be simulcast on 97.7FM and 107.9FM in Northern Kentucky and will be streamed over the internet and will be podcast as well. The show will air weekly on Saturday Mornings from 9:00-11:00am.

 

Schools covered by the program are the following: Beechwood, Bellevue, Bishop Brossart, Boone County, Calvary Christian, Campbell County, Carroll County, Conner, Cooper High School (2008), Covington Catholic, Covington Latin, Dayton, Dixie Heights, Gallatin County, Grant County, Henry County, Heritage Academy, Highlands, Holmes, Holy Cross, Lloyd Memorial, Ludlow, Newport, Newport Central Catholic, Notre Dame Academy, Owen County, Pendleton County, Ryle, Scott, Silver Grove, Simon Kenton, St. Henry, Trimble County, Villa Madonna, Walton-Verona & Williamstown.

 

It will be a call-in show with guests, coaches, players, school administrators and much more. Many of the topics that you see here on BGP will be up for discussion. We will take the show on the road at times during the All "A" Classic Tournament and other Tournaments and broadcast live from location. We will cover all sports for these schools, not just the popular ones.

The Guru will be putting a thread on the Webcast Category which I will post what is coming up on the show for the week and we thank him for that. If you call into the show, feel free to use your BGP name.

If you are familiar with Boone County in Northern KY, it will be located south on Camp Ernst Rd off of KY. 18 from what I have heard. Mascot and colors I'm not sure about.

The school is on Longbranch Road. I know they just announced their principal but have heard nothing else about it.
