How has Perry Central played this summer?

Featured Replies

Any results for the Commodores this summer under their new head coach Allan Hatcher?

I know at Happy's camp they played in all divisions, and they excelled, but lets just say they werent ready to pull out any birth certificates to show how old they where, their 8th graders looked like high school sophmores, I know the McDonalds in Perry County doesnt put any better ingredents in their food then they do in Lexington!

So, were they asked to prove / provide the ages of the players and refused?

One thing that was always true about Hatcher's Graves County teams is that they always looked to be in close to midseason form during the summer. Whether that comes from practicing every day ... well, no one knew for sure, but the Eagles always looked well-ahead of the competition each summer.

I don't know about the sophomores/eighth graders comment, but Hatcher always seemed to have about four teams at team camps. The varsity, then the junior varsity, then two teams of freshmen/eighth graders. Is it possible that one team was placed in the wrong division?

They lost to East Ridge and South Laurel at the Pikeville College Team Camp today, however they really got after it defensively, and Hatcher will have them playing aggressively (if he don't kill them first...he is very intense!!)
