Ncc wins the district 5-1

NCC was the best team in the district this season. Holmes was solid - just not as strong overall as NCC. Coach Hughes had another fine season with the Lady Bulldogs. They play the game the right way.

 

Congrats to NC. Good bunch of girls.

Were either of you at the game tonight? Of course I was.....I was doing the PA for the game.

Yes i was at the game, NCC played a heck of a game and you could tell that Holmes pitcher got really tired toward the end and the runs came in

Coach Hughes is awesome.

 

And dude never ever makes an out in softball. The guy's kind of softball. He's a machine. And a great team mate!

I'm assuming Amanda Jump pitched for Holmes, correct?

Yes the first couple of innings no one could really touch her.. But by the 4th inning she was wearing down and NCC started to get base runners. BTW Holmes outfielders did not play very well and played very shallow. There were a couple balls that went over them. Courtney did not really pitch that well but she got alot of key strikeouts right when she needed them, she really was able to grind it out

Holmes is a very young team . I know Boone Co. ALMOST HAD A GREAT COACH .Mr Mike does a great job there .He takes after his old man with his desire to win .Congrats to NCC

NCC's stellar D...I believe they've carried that aspect over from their days in slow pitch...it also helps that Sandfoss is a great pitcher.

Congrats to NCC on the win.

 

On a side note, this was Holmes first ever 20 win season so congrats to both the young ladies of the program and Coach Hughes. He really has the program heading in the right direction making the regional tourney 6 out of the last 8 years.

hats off to NCC. They have done it all season and continue to show that a transition into fast pitch is possible.

 

This team has stayed in games and had great timely hits all season. Coach Barnes should be coach of the year.
